Increasing Ping

well , long time ago i played ns but i formatted my pc and so on .... but now i re-downloaded ns and each time i get marines in my sight and they all start shooting ( <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif' /><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::gorge::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/pudgy.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='pudgy.gif' /><!--endemo--> )my ping increases with 800 <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> but when i die and respawn then my ping gets back to normal.I never had that before i formatted my pc :s help please

check that steam hasnt reseted your network settings to modem 56k.

"your fps" is your max fps, 100, 75,60, ect....

This should help since spiking pings around people is usually a rate problem
