Me needs something to play ;_;
I've given up on trying to find any total-conversion-ish mods that'll be released fairly soon (within the next two months or so), so I decided that I'd search for some HL2 single-player maps (serious ones, not little crapboxes full of antlions) to tide me over for a while.
Problem is: I don't know where to look, and when I _do_ find a site with a map download, I don't know if it's any good.
This is where you forum-goers come in. List your fav HL2 SP maps, HL2 SP map collections, etc. I needs mah HL2 fix! ;_;
PS: I hate antliontroopers. haet

Non-winnable build of my sp map, which isn't anywhere near completion.
Oh God, don't force me to go d/l the demo to that again. I like my life without it!

the game takes your life away... for ever!
I would suggest Antlion troopers, But seeing as you have unfounded hate for it, then I dont think There is anything else to recommend.

Excuse me Garry mod didn't borrow from JBmod, all both of them did at the start was put BACK IN what valve had already created. But Garry took it from there making his mod more excessable, less buggy, and overall more fun. Heck I couldn't even get JBMod to work.
Yes ragdoll porn is damn annoying, but what about people who enjoying constructing things in source? Like my remote controlled airboat for instance
On an unrelated note, yes incredible machine was mad addictive, especially the full version.

Remote controlled eh? But did you then weld explosive cans to it, bind them to a key so that they explode when it is pressed, and then floor it into a grouping of combine soldiers and blowing them all away?

If there is a way to remotely detonate explosive barrels I would very much like to know it.

You do it like this. Point at the barrel or whatever you want to set to explode, then switch into console and type
ent_setname X
Where X is whatever you want the name to be EX: bomb, bomb2 or bomb3, you get the idea.
Then type this:
Bind Y "ent_fire X break"
Where X is the name of the entity, and Y is the key you would like to press. And if you would like to blow up multiple things with one button do this:
Bind Y "ent_fire X break; ent_fire X2 break; ent_fire X3 break"
Fun for making remote detonatable (sp?) objects. Like demo traps and flying ballon bombs.
Just so you all know, unlike Align said, Antlion Troopers IS Beatable. It took me about 15 tries but it only takes about 10 minutes at the most when you do beat it. Eventually an Antlion Guard bursts through the gate opposite the ramp and shortly after that several dropships fly in with reinforcements to mop up.
All in all it's one of the most intense levels of HL i've ever played.
It helps to put 2 of the turret guns behind the box of Ammo, and i left the other 3 in the same bay they started in. sometimes it's best to run to the upper level, or out of the base when the guard comes. just be sure you have plenty of ammo at all times.
= ) chiao
Actually I was talking about my own map. Once you kill the headcrabs and the strider, there's nothing to do. 'cept run around and rocket the rooms in the motel.
It's very good. Quality mapping and design. Although the finale is slightly silly.
EDIT after playing it.
whoa this game makes my PC cry in terms of preformance. If i put everything on low its ok.
Now if I could only live for more than 1 min.
