Okay, I'm not trying to be mean here, but...

It'd be a lot easier to help you if you took the time to explain your problem a little bit more clearly. And the little emoticon guys don't help us to understand at all.

You'll get help a lot faster if you include a detailed description of the problem. Tell people what you've done, what you're trying to do, and when you're getting the problem.

To install NS, you need to have Half Life and Steam installed. Then just go to http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns/view?action=files, select a mirror, and download the entire installation file.

Then just run the installer, and you should be set (be sure to read the onscreen instructions to avoid problems, DON'T just blindly click "Next").

    Good luck.

Wait, you downloaded HL1 with Steam off? Doesn't that mean you have a pirated version?

You have to install HL1 through Steam OR use the play games --> browse games --> register a product I already own and then input your cdkey.

    Then do this:

    1. Start up Half-Life through Steam. Load the Training Map. Once it finishes loading, exit Half-Life.

    2. Install NS to steam/steamapps/email/half-life. It should create a folder like this: steam/steamapps/email/half-life/ns. Inside that NS folder should be a bunch of files and folders (for example: steam/steamapps/email/half-life/ns/addons). Make sure it is not steam/steamapps/email/half-life/ns/ns.

Then Natural Selection (beta 5) should be an option in the Play Games menu in Steam.
