OK PPL LISTEN UP...DARKNESS IS NOT A BAD THING NOR IS IT A GOOD THING WHEN IT COMES TO PLAYING...it's just THERE...it's a part of the ATMOSPHERE...think about this. If you're in the middle of space, and the aliens have taken over the POWER CORE...do you really expect the map to be bright? Well?
Also, an opinion is an opinion, and no opinion can ever be called "wrong."

Can we please moderate this a bit more or something?
#1) Flashlight #2) Double Tap the dark spot to check #3) Motion Tracking #4) LISTEN before you pass #5) Pay attention to what's behind you- DO NOT get caught unawares - This means check yer six once every few moments #6) LISTEN while you walk- you can hear a non-silence skulk from miles away #7) Move in a group- let someone ELSE cover your butt #8) Lob a Hand Nade just for kicks and giggles #9) Go and KNIFE the spot #10) be an all around good player and go where the COMMANDER tells you to go, NOT where you want to go die

I use the gamma setting that comes with NS to get it just right, to how its supposed to be. Is that bad or something? Competitive maps <i>should</i> have dark spots where players can hide and ambush. Its not our fault if a marine doesnt feel like clicking on his flashlight to look in a dark corner if he cant descern if anything is there or not. Only takes a couple of seconds.

#2) Double Tap the dark spot to check Ammo waster and this method works better against cloakers :|
#3) Motion Tracking Mt will have no affect unless you were paying attention before you even entered the room
#4) LISTEN before you pass Can't hear an unmoving skulk
#5) Pay attention to what's behind you- DO NOT get caught unawares - This means check yer six once every few moments You check your six right as you pass...you turn around then the next second walk walk chomp chomp good-bye
#6) LISTEN while you walk- you can hear a non-silence skulk from miles away Maybe if you are far enough from the dark spot, but if you are that far away the skulk can't do much anyway <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

#10) be an all around good player and go where the COMMANDER tells you to go, NOT where you want to go die And the commander tells you to set up siege right next to that really dark spot...you're starting to reach into thin air now...

P.S. there ARE some dark spots...or darker than the bright spots...skulks can hide in that area between PEN-15 nozzle and cargo...and the skulks DON'T HAVE TO BE UNSEEABLE TO AMBUSH FFS!

Quite the map. I've played it about 4-5 times now. Not the prettiest map I've ever seen but not the worst by any means either. Being so small, there is a lot of action going on all the time and it was quick to learn. I think your goal of "balance" has been accomplished pretty nicely. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
there is only one problem: EVERYBODY says things like "I <u>hope</u> it gets official."
guys, just hoping isnt enough. if you feel connected to this map in any way you could do a lot more. like advertising the map in irc channels, other forums, telling mates about it or even take it into servercycles. just hoping doest help anybody... the ns team has to be convinced, too.
Awesome map, just D/Led and had a walk around it and it's quite nice. As said silly skulks will have a hard time but there're lots of spots to hide in, can't wait to play it somewhere. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Btw I've pracced on this map and I have to say it's pretty good map to war on.
