Now nobody's saying i dislike being nice and such to women who i find attractive, BUT... why just on one day where card companies can make a killing between Christmas and Easter. I personally dislike it. How about you? And do not give me "I love it because I get lots of cards... I'm a ****" or "I hate it... nobody loves me"

    I participate. It may be overcommercialized, but the sentiment is never one that is not worth expressing. At least for me, it is a time to reflect on the things which keep me and my wife together and happy.
    Certainly it is something that we do on other days too, but then again, we get older every day, and celebrate a birthday once a year. We have been married longer every day, and celebrate our anniversary only once a year. We have been in love a little longer, and learned a little more about each other every day, but we put one day a year aside where we ALWAYS make sure to remember it, and celebrate it.

    Bleh today was hell for me. Spent all day writing scripts for lazy bastages and essays for evil transfer admissions people. Now I have to fit shoes on overweight women in about two hours. I'm just glad my college classes are morning classes, so I don't have to endure the uni's 99% female population walk around campus with giant stuffed teddy bears and pink heart balloons.

    Just once... <i>just once</i> I'd like to see a balloon shaped like a <b>real</b> human heart for valentines day. Hell I'd buy it just for the novelty of it all.
