<div class="IPBDescription">Wont work..</div> My mic just wont work in games. It has in past HL games, and its only stopped working after I have reformatted. Everything is all done and installed. But it still doesnt work.
Its not a problem with my mic because it works on ventrilo. Something to do with HL.. but what? Any ideas? Thanks!

Join a server.
ALT+TAB out to windows.
In your quick launch icon section, right click the icon that looks like an audio speaker.
Click "Open volume controls"
Click "options"
Click "properties"
Click "recording"
Click "ok"(Make sure "microphone" is checked in the list)
Make sure "microphone" is selected.
I've had the same problem as you and this was my solution.
