Got interested pretty early, but my computer was too crappy at first to play decently (fps never got into double digits...). Been playing on and off and still love the mod.

I got the link the day after the original release of 1.0... I made a forum account a week later or so, but I only used it a couple of times and made a new one later since I didnt remember the password (or the login name).

My first NS experience was ns_nothing filled with turrets. Think the long hallways FILLED with turrets that were kind of powerful and didnt stop if you killed the TF. Then imagine hordes of onos and fades charging the turrets and dying without having time to do any damage.

Then imagine those turrets being built over the entire map untill they reached the hives.

Marines won that game :|

"Epic" would be the word of less educated forum goers I believe.

knew about ns pre-release, and i played a few 1.x games. don't remember which, dialup was what i was using, didn't play much. really picked up again in 3.x, with college dsl.

and yea, i NEVER post. lurk like a crazy man though.

I'm playing NS since I installed version 1.0 from a GameStar cd.
Made a little pause between 1.04 and 2.0.
I'm around here since I started playing in a clan.

Yeah they were quite common at 1.0 if the current round running for 30 minutes or so <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' />.

But as i remember the dev team acted quick and with a server side patch (1.01?) it was much better then.

Yeah Niteowl my profile is correct. When I registered on these fora it wouldn't allow me to select "Depot" (already taken, unavailable, or WUTevuH) yet a search of members showed no such member existed - oh well, Teh Elder gets no R-E-S-P-E-C-T!
