I hate to talk bad about another mod when they do really dumb things. It doesn't help them (because usually they won't listen), and it makes me look bad, as if I'm out to bump my mod out by downing theirs or something, which isn't the case...

But who the hell thinks *THIS* is a rare and newsworthy screenshot to show off the talent of their team?

    PHL needs to get a clue to be honest.

    O Garry mod screenshots <b>are not amusing</b>. Try putting some actual concept art in the POTD if you dont have anything remotely funny to show.

    O We dont care about box maps or looking at unskinned Render of AK47 #348834

    O We dont want to hear about mods that havent even been started yet.

    O fire all existing staff and hire new ones. Triple posting a news post once every two weeks or so makes you look stupid.

    But back on-topic....I saw that screenshot earlier, and more than think "why release something so devoid of action?" I thought "I wonder what that foreign text translates to." I'm pretty sure I remember reading that the graffiti on the walls of maps like de_dust translates to jokes or advertisements for Valve and such, so I wonder if this mod team also put up jokes.

    norn, theres no reason to rant at PHL considering they are just putting up the news they can get. if they put up only stuff that was actually exciting then there would be hardly any news. and for the POTD, i agree the pictures have gone to crap, but i would imagine that those kinds of pictures are probably the only ones being sent in right now.

    Little do they know there's already a powerline pole in HL2 already, and it looks about 20x better than that one (OMG big white cylinders for the transformers!).

    Yeah, and as soon as the next cool tech bandwagon rolls in, you know they'll jump right over there, too.

    People need to just get over this engine switching crap and make what they want to make for what they want to make it for. Worthwhile work will speak for itself on any platform.
