    I don't see whats the big deal with a black guy acting as Ford... seems to work pretty well. Looks sweet otherwise.

They've got all of the wrong actors. Arthur Dent is all wrong. You can <i>not</i> have a black guy playing Ford Prefect, that doesn't work at all. Zaphod isn't actually that bad, but that doesn't mean that they haven't got bad choices for everyone else. It's all wrong, all of it. Wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong.

    And Prefect has a <a href='http://imdb.com/gallery/ss/0371724/Ss/0371724/Zaphod-Trillian-Marvin-Ford.jpg?path=pgallery&path_key=Deschanel,%20Zooey' target='_blank'>clean towel</a>. What kind of frood has a clean towel?!

    AND WHAT THE HELL. IS THAT MARVIN?!

    Ok you may be right about Zaphod heads and arms as well as Marvin being all a bit screwey from the book description, but why the dislike of a black Ford? I didn't expect it at all, but I think it was a smart move on the casting department and Arthur is perfectly cast in Martin Freeman.

    What kind of Frood has a clean towel? A frood who knows how important his towel is and looks after it. Thats what kind of frood. Style +1 for the way he wears it over his shoulders as well.

    Martin Freeman? It's Mos Def! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> Mos def is Ford, according to the IMDB page that Forrester linked to. I'm sure its Martin Freeman who plays Arthur (I think, I know he was in The Office, as well as a cameo in Shaun of the Dead).

    ninjaedit - Oh no, I see what you're getting at now. I meant it as two seperate points. Black Ford - smart casting and also that Arthur has been perfectly cast imo.

    I'm not exactly a die-hard purist, but I think that they could have chose people who at least <i>looked</i> a bit more like Arthur Dent and Ford Prefect, at the very least. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Because it doesn't fit Ford's style. I don't mean this in a racist way, I have nothing against black people, but I don't think that a black guy fits Ford's style at all. Which reminds me, his clothes aren't weird enough.

    Douglas Adams never said anything about a frood needing a clean towel. Just about knowing where it is. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
