Ns On Hl2 Soon?!?!

<div class="IPBDescription">Is NS going to be ported over to hl2?</div> I was wondering if u guys have been workin on getting NS over to the new hl2 engine and such, I love playing NS still but it breaks my heart to go from hl2 graphics to and hl graphics hah. so I was wondering if u guys or if anyone knows if they have started work on it and if so then when will it be out?

Seriously, I thought they were still thinkin about it, or have I just gotten outta the loop?
also on a radio interview i remember tyrnemesis saying that a port would probably take about a year, but then i think flayra said that it would take less time than that, but i would bet on it taking a year or so at the rate that some of these other mods are going.
But to answer your question, they are seriously considering doing a version of NS on the HL2 engine. At first Flayra was considering it based on how well the HL community adopts HL2. Now that HL2 support is strong it's pretty much a given though not official. (ie. they're probably not working on it yet) As far as we know they don't know if they're going to do a direct port first or redo alot of the art before a release. I would support a direct port (as well as they can given the complexity of the code) with art updates as they come, personally.
As always, it will be "when it's done". Don't expect it this year for sure.
Not much else to say in here that hasn't been said before.
