Thought I join this forum, considering I've had an interest to NS for some time now, after Seph introduced it to me. (I'm sure you know him, great guy. *chuckles*) Unfortunately I've never the guts to further the interest, and start playing it on my own after I got the basics. However, it's always good to talk around, eh? Perhaps come summer vacation I'll be able to develop NS skills.

Anyways, just a bit about myself...I'm a female, and a native to Texas. Played a good deal with Half-Life(2);DM and some of its mods. So you could say I'm not a total stranger to these types of games. :P Also, I'm a bit of an artist, so perhaps I might do a bit of NS-related stuff, and pimp that.

*Slaps KoniaX* Shush you. Play whatever you want to play, but just remember, people tend to take the Classic (ns_) games more seriously, so you're in for a better game with the classic maps. Combat (co_) is ideal if you've got some time to kill and don't want the rigmarole of obeying commands, or hiding from marines with shotguns <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I'll probably only be able to play co_maps for the time being, considering I have plenty of distractions. ns_maps will have to come later, pehaps.

Seriously, if someone gives you adivce, or a waypoint during any game, try to follow it. Unless it's something stupid like F4 or Alt-Q/Alt-F4.

Anyone with a mediocrum of knowledge about shortcuts will instantly recognise them...

Actully it is very right, because in the start. Why do you play computers? because you want to have fun or kill some time. And it is not fun losing currently for aliens. And tbh you lose to fast.

Most games that are lost are mainly through lack of teamwork. Look at football, If everyone is running around incoherently, they will get wiped. The other team, who are using teamwork will always win. If you're losing too many games, try working with your team, instead of Alien-Rambo'ing your **** to the bottom of the scoreboard.


Failing that, just get a load of the best players, and just whip everyone!
