<div class="IPBDescription">Are they coming in a future 3.0 beta?</div> With an official detailed texture pack and forced consistency checks for official maps, we wouldn't have to deal with someone abusing them like in a previous release. Hostile Intent looks wonderful and up to speed with details implemented. Though NS maps havn't been designed with these textures in mind, something needs to be done because Half Life mods look long in the tooth without some sort of outside enhancement. Thanks to <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=68706&hl=detailed+textures' target='_blank'>Guzpaz's utility</a>, high res textures are available when calculating details and normal texures.
Flayra expressed interest in bloom awhile back, and I havn't heard anything about it since. Just like in Mech Mod, the effect can be optional. Old and crappy video cards won't support it, but there is no harm in implementation.
Other things are and should be a greater priority, but at least consider this.

I really would like to see detailed textures and glow in ns... With consistency checking ofcourse...
