why do we have to fill in two lines...
So blink doesn't go through walls, and it only functions the full way of what you'd like it to like maybe.....20% of the time. So really... Who has a story of blink being useful???
That would be my story ..
Blinking takes practice... knowing when it work and when it wont....
Blink is totally awesome. You just have to get the hang of it.
Here are some tips:
1) ALWAYS crouch when using it. This increases its success-rate to around 90%. The best thing to do, is do a jump-crouch, THEN fire it. Just press Jump, then while in the air, press crouch, then press the fire button. I do this ALL the time against Marines with great success. Either for advancing on a Grenader, or retreating from an incoming volley of enemy fire... it works great and has saved my butt many times.
2) You can blink through closed doors. Not ALWAYS a useful tactic, but you can catch some people off guard that way.
3) When blinking, aim HIGHER than where you want to be. Don't aim into the ground... for some reason, it fails a lot more often if you try to blink into a ground target. Try blinking into a low-ceiling... you'll be much more successful.
4) Also, you can blink to avoid falling damage. If you have to fall from a great height, just jump off the ledge, then blink to the ground... you'll arive without any falling damage.
Anyway, blink is great... definately one of my favorite moves to perform. I can't wait til they upgrade fades so they can actually be useful in melee combat.
fades are quite useful for melee, had them bit me in the **obscenity** a couple time. hurt quite alot too. the men had several laughs on that one also, welded me up, just to get myself bit in the **obscenity** by a skulk. neither fatal if you have heavy armor and heavy machine gun.
I was running down a hallway to a combat zone and trying blink all the way; every single time it didn't work or only blinked me 5 feet. All of a sudden I saw a marine around 10 feet away and I blinked... all the way to the end of the room... the poor guy looked so confused! HAHA!!! Then I got TK'ed by a charging onos but ah well.
Just last night, I was playing on Eclipse and I was a Fade for most of the game, and I can't tell you how COOL it is. I was in a long hallway when all of a sudden a marine with an LMG appeared at the end and started firing. I was at medium health so I knew I would never make it, so what did I do? Did I run and betray the hive mind?
No, I did a duck-jump, and teleported. I appeared at the end of the hall, behind the marine. *Slash Slash Slash* and it was over.

I successfully used Blink a whole 5 minutes ago. I let the Hive get my health and armour up and ran into a room filled with Marine turrets and use Blink to get out the other end of the room virtually unharmed. (Lost roughly 30 health) Blink = great move
