I Have Movie Idea

And I Need Feedback
Why? Because I plan on filming it.
Okay, okay okay okay. There's these three guys. Basically, they're trying to run an experiment to see if literary terms happen in real life. You know, like Symbolism and Foreshadowing and crap. They're going to do this by taking a camera and filming everything they see for a full day. Then they go back, and study the videos and see if they spot anything. I think it's a great idea for movie and it would be easy to film, but I cant decide on something...
Do I:
A) Make the final results exactly what would happen if the experiment was pulled off for real (Literary terms dont happen in real life).
B) Make the final results negatory but the movie itself has alot of it happen all behind their backs or something.
C) They discover some things that could be symbolic, but it's all very vague and up to the viewer. This sounds like the best choice, but it would be really hard to pull off.
D) They discover proof of literary terms and then something very ironic happens to all of them.

A) That's just boring, unless you somehow make it into a piece about how mankind is so very alone. But then nobody likes a downer.
B)Ech. The "comedy" copout. You had the chance to say something meaningful, and you blew it. Nice.
C) Yay! Thought provoking films in a largely bland medium! Huzzah!
D)I dunno, irony seems so passe.
Note: Not serious. However, I would like to say that this is your time to shine. Try to make something thought provoking- God knows we've had too little of that lately.
Alright, it's not like there aren't any thought provoking movies out there, but ALONE IN THE DARK was just released. We're losing grey matter, fast. It's up to you, Cap'n. Guide her straight and true.
thats not to say it can't be funny, kinda the challenge of the filmmaker is to strike the right balance.
ya i kinda agree. to me it doesnt sound that interesting.

This man speaks the truth. I too will hit you if you chose other than C.
Save us Omegaman! You're our only hope!
Example: The crew tries to find out if there is symbolism in nature or whatever. Well they're like "we can't find anything, there is no symbolism in nature." But what the camera will see, and the audience will see, is that say whenever they're really sad it starts to rain or if they're happy then everything's sunshiny outside.
The symbolism there would be the sky itself so that a change in weather would be a change in their moods.
You could do this 1 of 2 ways.
1. Have little notes indicating for the stupider viewers that the 'hey it's raining, character 1 = sad'
2. Don't have it but let them figure out on their own.
Not really sure if that made any sense at all, but it works.

Wow I rather like this. It has the whole dramatic irony thing going for it, but it's not needlessly comedic in that vain sort of way that is totally unecessary. And if you do it right you can also leave it up to the viewers to draw certain conclusions about the movie, which is the best way to please a critical audience.

SubZero = typical action junkie (which is OK), I was actually pm'd by a guy who wanted to do exactly the above.. I asked him for a sample treatment and a chapter of possible dialogue, but never heard back
Back on-topic..
The premise isn't interesting enough for a full-length movie... I hate movies that have no real point, at the end there isn't a clear message that makes me walk away and want to discuss the film with others... (Napolean Dynomite being the most recent example of this, take a guy.. film 2 random weeks in his life, edit.. release..)
Perhaps look at making it a short (30 minute) film.. Shorts seem to be able to get away with premises that wouldn't stand up to a 1.5 hour film and allow the most impact in the shortest film time..
My 2 cents..
