Getting The Hl Files

I'm planning on having a LAN game soon.
Since it seems you can't buy the original Half-Life anymore (or at least solo), I was wondering if we bought something like HL: BlueShift, if that would be ok -- as far as the HL files required to play Natural Selection go.

You can buy the CS or DoD retail packages, and with those CD keys you can legaly download a copy of HL off of steam (and thus play NS)

You can buy new accounts through steam with a credit card - no need for a physical CD or CD key.
