Been like this for four months now. Doesn`t seem to generate static charges. No hd corruptions. At first i were kind of scared of lan cards being only 1cm from exposed powersupply. Mad on so many more.

I don't think those placcie boxes give too good EM shielding, which is essentially what a case used to be for, other than looking the nuts with some blue LED feet, like mine ^_^

    Blue undershine, car-style FTW!

Tho that exposed powersupply is not too safe...heh don't go digging inside of there with it live (or even after you've turned the power off)

I like the little silver tub of his aswell. I've always wanted to do something like this. I should hunt around for some boxes.

Wasn't someone showing off how he got a computer running in a cardboard box a few weeks ago?

I'd be worried about EM radiation since the metal box was removed from the PSU

    So what? No kids?
If you've made a server in a tupperware container, your chances of having kids are slim anyways. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Why have a box at all? I remember a few years ago, we had an old computer completely gutted, and all the components were hooked up and pretty much piled on a work bench.

Real men use their lap to balance all their components on.

On the contrary, real men recognize the danger of having large quantities of current so near their most prized possesions.
