Acid Rocket Damage

How does it work?
When I first started playing B6 in the beta, I was under the impression from the description that acid rocket would deal double its ordinary damage - 25 - straight to armor until the marine's armor is gone. However, it didn't take much testing to confirm that this isn't the case; the new AR doesn't do even near that much damage to armor, and it hurts health as well.
Does anyone know exactly how it works now? My best guess is that it calculates the 25 damage as before, but then just doubles the damage that would have been done to armor. Judging from what a trivial amount 25 damage is to an HA, it doesn't seem like AR would be terribly effective if that's the case, especially considering that you need a direct hit to do even that much. Am I missing something here?

if anyone is confused as to what we are talking about.
Yes, you are right, the percentage of damage that the attack would do to armor is double.
Good job on the manual NiteOwl - I wanna be just like joo when I grow up.
70% of damage is done to a normal marine's armor. The rest is done to health. Take that number, and divide it by 2, and BAM you have your damage.
For HA:
95% of damage is done to HA's armor, making AR even better against heavies. This means that a total of (something like) 48 damage is done to HA with each shot. I don't feel like doing much math.

48.75 points of damage, to be exact.
When you consider the rate of fire for acid rocket, plus the fact that an acid rocket fade can easily run away if there is any threat at all, acid rocket is pretty good.
Edit: I think I explained that armor system at least four times when it first started being used (2.0, right?). It's good that it is in a guide that people can be directed to.
