<div class="IPBDescription">Is it possible and hows it done?</div> Well tittle askes everything, NS 3.0 on CS 1.5, my schools got CS 1.5 client, and we play LAN games almost every lunch, its so much fun, i was able to get NS 2.0 on there, but ns maps take to loonnggg to finish... So i was hopeing i would be able to get CO maps to make things more fun...


AMX plugins also dont work to well with it for some reason...

    i do believe ns3 needs steam. but if they got ns1.04 working on steam im sure someone could get ns3 working without it. somehow.

    Getting it to work on CS 1.5 is easy enough. Just point the installer to "C:\Sierra\Counter-Strike\". Aside from a few bugs here and there and a borked interface, everything should work fine.

    Ya, im gettin 3 A's and 2 B's, the rest are doing as good or better than me, and the B's are in AP classes... Thats the only way we can be allowd to play have a 3.5 GPA or better, sorta like a award system...


    So just copy the installer the the CS directory ehh... Ill try that tomorrow...

    Anyway i might be able to make the inter face work? If it is screwed up?

    Heres what i did, i installed NS 2.0, so that the menu would work, and then installed NS 3.0...


    It loaded, and maps opend up, the only problem i wasnt able to connect to the LAN from another computer.


    So i wondering if an admin could move this to the forum that is most likly to get the attention needed.

    So i can have NS battles at school...

    PS, i have more information:

    Says connecting to XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX
    Then fails to connect, then both computers Freeze and are forced to restart.

    There New Gateway computers with 512 SDRAM and GeForce FX 5X00(Not Sure what they are, some are different)

    I modified a install of an earlier ns 3.0 beta to work with old halflife a while ago because we wanted to play it on a lan.
    but hum.. dunno if it still can be done with 3.0 final.

    Back to the game, where is that older version installer, 3.0 beta for CS 1.5?
