Lupin, I want you to bother. Yeah, your skin is gonna look bad next to Axman's. Axman is really good. But you need the practice. I want your next skin (my phasegate, hint hint) to be really good, and the only way that's gonna happen is if you learn a lot from this skin.
I'll tell you what, Lupin - I promise to use your skin, even if nobody else does. You don't want me to curse your name every time I look at that armory, do you? So do your best. Keep at it until you think it looks good, like you said a couple of pages back. If you think it looks good, I'm sure other people will think it looks good.
^^he reads my mind(talks to me on aim), that he does
yeah hes right keep at it look at me i wasnt great at all i didnt even use burning and dodgeig when if first start ont he hp lmg and i even did it more then once and now ive gotten way better

care to look at mine? well mostly my brothers. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> <a href='http://www.crushingcommanders.com' target='_blank'>CrushingCommanders</a>
Verry nice model indeed <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> When are you going to release it?
Hmm, I bet it'll be released when Axman and Lupin finish their skins, and then someone animates it. Oh, you were looking for a time frame? At the rate it's going, I'd check back in about two months or so.
2 Months is a long time away, but if thats what it takes to get a high poly armory, then i can wait. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
im kinda running out of ideas for what to do with the side panels( not the ammo panels, but behind them) the original armory has metal plates there but i - personally - dont think it looked good even on ax's, so uhh, im kinda lookin to you guys for some ideas
Its going good, i hope its done soon! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Yeah, I didn't want to say anything, Demi, but your model was a pain to mesh, and the animations are gonna look really weird.
Lup, I really like where you're taking this skin. It doesn't seem like you're being constrained by the original skin, more using it for inspiration. You have some good ideas of your own, so I heartily endorse you sticking on that track.
final pic wont be anymore changes unless they are asked for <img src='http://img308.imageshack.us/img308/106/renderfinal4hu.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' />
whoever is compiling this in the finish should PM me their email, and ill send them the zip with the maps
1)Why are the sides and the top of the plate on top two different colors? I can see you've got the hazard stripes going on there, but it doesn't make much sense. The hazard stripes on the bottom are there, presumably, because that's where the advanced bits come out, but on top? If you really want it that way, I can live with it, but please make the yellow the same color yellow as the stripes on the bottom, and give the edges some wear. It looks weird for some edges to have wear and not others.
2)I like the brushed metal look, which I assume you can make TSA green later (at least as a second option), but it needs more detail. If the edges are going to have wear, then there should be some wear that isn't around the edges like small scratches in the sides.
3)Why are the sides brushed metal but the panels themselves flat grey?
4)Why didn't you choose to put anything on the keys? Writing or wear, I don't suppose it matters.
5)Why are different parts of the screen arms different colors?
6)Why are the vents at the bottom all burned around the edges instead of dodged? It looks really weird from here.
Okay, and now some comments that aren't associated with questions -
7)It might just be the angle, but the vents and ...things in the upper body look like they could use some more relief, as well as the white panel itself. The whole thing looks way too flat.
8)The inside of the indentations on the screen panel could use some shading. It looks good in 3dsmax, but it'll look bad in half life with no shading.
9)I'd like to see some more detail on the topside of the lower body. People are going to be seeing it a lot, and it should have something not quite so plain there. Not just wear patterns, but... I dunno. Something.
Lupin, I don't mean to rip your skin apart, but I know this is your first one, and I'm trying to pick out everything I can. The skin is still so far ahead of anything I can do, and you should be proud of it. Also, can we see it from at least one other angle? It's tough to see what's going on with some parts of the skin when it's always from that angle <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

:/ I think i made the model badly, it might be hard to animate aswell
But we shall cross that bridge when we come to it, GJ lup

is it <i>TSA Field Armory AX-150</i>?
If you had told me i would have gone back, rethought my ideas and proberly come up with a better looking version of the armory...
But >.<
If things dont go well i might go back and redo it all
