By the way, the whole running apps off the internet rather than off a machine is actually a concept officially considered to have been and gone. People envisaged online word processors, spreadsheet programs, other business type stuff, and of course it didn't take off.
This sort of thing is interesting, although like Steam it's pretty much an abstraction of downloading stuff onto the user's machine and running it there. Nothing wrong with that, I guess.
I wouldn't want to see NS on it...I don't think that the graphics really compare much to NS on the Half Life engine, and wouldn't even hold a candle to NS:S. However, a mini-NS, like a nerfed version of combat mode, might work. The game isn't really all that amazing graphically. It feels and moves like more advanced N64 games. It even looks the same.
Still, I can see the potential. So many odd communities have sprung up because of flash games....people spend hours playing stupid little games. This'll give them something a little more ballsy to play.
Some problems I noticed:
1.) Movement feels sluggish.
2.) Energy and projectile weapons need to lead the target because it takes them forever to get to wherever on the map. Seriously. A rocket launcher I understand, but a pulse rifle? Come on.
3.) Seemingly unintelligent bot AI.
But hey, it IS built on Shockwave, which is pretty cool. Maybe I'm asking too much.

yet again, we must remind people that this is not a flash application, but a shockwave application. though i must admit i find the distinction blurry at best.
Wow,this is a first. Btw,what does the lever do? It just seems to turn on/off the TV's on top floor. Is there a special number that turns on a special TV thing?
