sv_downloadurl enabled
Part of my regular server maintenance includes deleting ".ztmp" files. No one has been able to explain to me why these files exist IF you have sv_downloadurl enabled, and ALL custom files are NOT downloaded from the gameserver.

I would assume they get auto created when the user asks for them before they are sent via redirect.
You could always try making your maps folder read only yet this may cause further problems.
They dont really bother me tho as long as u have plenty of hdd space shouldnt be a problem.
Also its concevable that ur redirect goes down sometimes and so the server falls back to the old method
I would have to make a lot more than the "maps" directory read only, but that may be worth a shot. But you're right, if I lose my redirect connection it would revert to the gameserver, then I'd be up the creek without a paddle.
I guess I was hoping there there was a way to disable the creation of these ztmp files.

This all makes good sense IF the client is downloading the file form the gameserver. With sv_downloadurl enabled however, the client should be downloading directly from the wbeserver, NOT the gameserver. That being said, I don't undertand the need for the compressed file on the gameserver.
Or is this just an unavoidable by-product?
