Brightness Glitch!?

<div class="IPBDescription">someone please help..</div> well, it will appear that every time i start up NS, it turnes my desktop brightness (not in-game brightness) down to so low that i cant even see...can anyone help me? i exit the game and my brightness stays the same (completely dark) unless i go into my moniter under system tools and fix it. then i start ns up again and boom- it darkens. can anyone help me out? <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif' /><!--endemo--> [my computer]

    Inside your ns\ directory (default directory is C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\Your@email.com\Half-Life\NS) there is a program called ResetGamma.exe; next time you have gamma problems after exiting NS see if you using this program fixes your desktop gamma.

    Does you desktop stay messed up even if you exit NS properly (and with out alt-tabing)?

    normaly that error occurs when NS crashes....

    how about some sys specs?
