<div class="IPBDescription">to be released today!</div> Finally, after waiting for this mod for ages, its being released !
Just incase you didn't know, it's probably the most anticipated HL1 Mod out there at the moment.

<!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->Its about freaking time. We are done, its over, its finished, its built, its running, not crashing, its shooting, and lasers, and smoke, and mass weapons, and nightvision in two different colors, flash bangs, three objectives, the whole nine yards, and man are we ready to play. The server and client builds will be released to the hosts tomorrow night, and the file available to the public on Saturday, at 7:00 Central Time.

We hope you guys will be here, and ready to play. Lord knows we are. Thanks to everyone that has helped us with this mod, including our members no longer with the team. Hope to see you guys Saturday night.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Yeah I am so interested in this mod for one simple thing: the Zastaba Nosle M22. Ghost in the Shell style all the way baby.

Sorry, this site is temporary unavailable.

Surely there's no point in putting both midnight and 12am PST. It's like putting, "noon, 12pm" or "2000h, 8pm".

Since the site is kaput, what makes this mod so special ?

Well, the visuals I'd say, since the weapons are skinned by -X-, wannabe, and the like.

I know it's been said like twice, but ABOUT TIME. I hope it's good and all; it's getting about time to move onto Half-Life 2, or at least UT2k4.

Maybe you're thinking of the twenty-four hour clock, in which case, it's true - 12h is 12 hours after 0h, and 12 hours before 0h.

Regardless, I'm confused as heck. ;P

    -----

I'm still waiting to hear why this is such a good mod. What does it have that other mods don't?

Sorry to have to pwn you, but neither did you.

    A.M. ante meridiem
    P.M. post meridiem

"By definition, 12 A.M. denotes midnight, and 12 P.M. denotes noon, but there is sufficient confusion over the meanings of A.M. and P.M. when the hour is 12 to make it advisable to use 12 noon and 12 midnight where clarity is required".

Why not just say "midnight"? The 12am is superfluous, surely? No-one I've ever known has been confused as to when midnight is.

12 hours post meridian is 12 hours after noon. A.K.A. midnight.

This mod is a brainstorm of ideas: 3 class per team, 3 objectives per map, 2 NV colors, and milking the engine for all its worth in the maps too.

    Give it a try tonight.

That's got to be one of the best feelings. Releasing a mod that you've spent a ton of time on, and completely underestimating the demand for the game, and as a result having your site crash.

It's got to suck to find mirros and hosts for the file, but I think I would be whistling while I worked if I got to that point.

Can somebody explain to me why so few [legal] sites/companies/organisations release files using bittorrent as a major distributor? Is it sheer ignorance/stupidity or are there technical reasons why it wouldn't be useful to lessen the load on the server?

Speaking out of experience here, it isn't. By the time of a release, no matter how much you love your game, you just want to get done with it. If your site crashes or mirror problems arise, that's just another delay you just didn't need. I guess it's a little like the way parents feel when they discover their child won't go to college this semester.

Anyway, best of luck to them. From what I'm reading this isn't exactly my kind of game, but to each his own.
