I get kicked several times a game now from this bug ever since 3.0 b6 came out. Some others have told me they also get this but not as offten. I can't play NS anymore untill its fixed being kicked 3-8 times a game ruins the fun. And all I get is "Bad Parse In Client Command". Ive reinstalled NS 3 times and even re-updated all my drivers. Even reinstalled windows. I hope this bug is fixed soon I'm a constelation member and a donator of G4B2S. But untill this bug is fixed I guess iw ill go play WOW. :/ *sigh.

Googling "Bad Parse in Client Command" gives me a ton of hits, mostly CS and DoD related. It definitely seems like an issue with Steam itself that is not NS specific. From what I read it appears to be related to using HL voicecomm and is generally believed to be a connection issue. Some people have reported that clearing their config and starting from an autogenerated one fixed the problem (and several mentioned that any _setinfo's in one of your configs could be to blame). Others said updating the firmware on their Router fixed the issue.

<a href='http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=101151' target='_blank'>This</a> is Vavle's response to the problem, if you are behind a router definetely start by seeing if direct connecting to your modem fixes the issue.

I'm moving this to tech-support in case anyone else has experience with this bug and so that you and other people can reply to the thread.

I fixed the problem. I had to buy a new router. Linksys routers especialy BFSR11 and BFSR41 are very problematic with Half-Life and a few other online games. Even with firmware updates and port forwarding it still did not help. Once I went out and replaced the Linksys with a Netgear I have not had a problem since.
