World Of Warcraft

Some questions..
Okay..
Right...
I have heard WoW costs AFTER the purchase.
So what ACTUALLY happens?
Do you get a free month or something and how much is the monthly fee and how can you pay for it (I live in England by the way..).
And..
Is it REALLY worth getting? I like MMORPGs like ehmmm well i havent actually played many.. Runescape i liked and (mot MMO) Final Fantasys are good.
Also how easy is it for nublets?
Thanks..

I find the game to be quite fun and addicting and it's sort've like most mmorpgs out there except the quest system is really stressed when playing WoW.

You get a free month and then you have to start paying for it (credit card or you can buy prepaid cards at electronics stores).

If you like MMORPGs then you'll like WoW. If you don't like MMORPGs then you won't like wow. I like FF, I don't like MMORPGs, I don't like WoW.

Well, it's a Blizzard game, so it's got a great UI and it's easy to learn.

Yeah, WoW is subscription based. You get 1 month free when you buy the game, but to create an account you will need to enter your billing details, be it your card details or that you plan to buy gamecards or whatever.
How much it costs a month depends.
If you buy a gamecard in a shop (Not actually seen them anywhere myself, but apparently they do exist), which is a good idea if you don't have your own credit / debit card, it'll cost you around £17 or so (I'm not sure exactly), but that's for a 60 day card, as opposed to the subscription which is paid each month.
The subscriptions are the following:
£8.99 - One month subscription.
£25.17 - Three month subscription.
£46.14 - Six month subscription.
Basically, the more time you buy upfront, the cheaper it is per month (Despite that you need to pay the full billing cycle upfront, in the case of 3 and 6 month subscriptions).
And yeah, i'd recommend getting it, it's damned fun and very easy to get into.
Easy to learn.

It's the general "Once you reach maximum level you'll get into the fun stuff"
TBH it's just a scam to scam you out of your money since you have to sit there and level your character for months all the while the scamming scammers sit back and scam your credit card clean of money, which furthers their scam of pay-to-play scamming. And like the word Scam, the level-grinding scam to scam you out of your money will result in total meaninglessness.
But it's a fun scam.
Seriously, I'm not a big MMO nut, but had fun levelling a dwarven Paladin up to lvl 10 at a friend's house. Wouldn't buy it since I can think of better monthly investments (such as food), but if you have the spare dough and not too many social commitments, you'll enjoy yourself.
Till I got WOW
And now I only hate every MMO except it.
Look out for 'Suiteidin'.
That'll get you through the first 7 levels of WOW on human side. (u need to be a human)
For those who still play Runescape, plz die.
For those who still play FF Online, plz hit urself, jump into some acid, then die.

How is it cheaper? According to my l33t math skills if you buy 3 months then another 3 after that it costs less than 6 months at once

I don't know about the American market, but if you live in Europe you most likely can't. Every, and by that I mean every single shop or web store is out of stock. I couldn't get one before they got sold out, and thus won't be getting one before next month D:
