Sin City

New movie
Wow, just say to trailer for Sin City on TV, and wow it looks amazing. The color effects, the guest directing by Quentin Tarantino, and literaly 20 mainstream actors all point to a great movie.
You can watch the trailer here, but I'm still trying to find a better quality version (something similar to the EP3 trailer maybe)?
Also, if you didnt catch it, you can see the TV trailer here, but there has got to be a better copy of it somewhere.

My gut tells me that any movie with that many mainstream actors is bound to be the new battlefield earth. Lets hope for the sake of all mankind that I'm wrong.

You are wrong: here's why.
Sin City is a direct adaptation of Frank Millers comics of the same name. Sin City is, in a few words, like Max Payne translated to comics (Gritty, Noir, Crime rules all, the hero always loses). When I say direct, I don't mean "We kept the names" direct, I mean "the comics were the storyboard for the film" direct. In other words, if it was in the comics, it will be in the films. And if it wasn't in the comics, it won't be in the films. Every shot you see, every camera angle is a direct translation from the comics, not a detail changed.
If you haven't read the original comics, go do so now. The second editions (I have all the first editions) have just hit stores, and are very reasonably priced. You really have no excuse to do otherwise.
Unless you happen to have no money. Which I just so happen not to.
You've just gotten my full attention.

Yes, I believe I will.
Everything looks absolutely great but that. I'm still probably going to see it.

You sir, are wrong. But you're entitled to your opinion, no matter how wrong it may be.
EVERYONE should read the comics. Sin City is done by the same guy who did The Dark Knight Returns. I hope that's a clear enough indication of his skill.

You honestly think a man whose acting career reached a pinnacle in 2 mediocre 80's soft porn movies is fit to play one of the most charismatic characters ever penned by Frank Miller?

Go watch Once Upon A Time in Mexico and you'll see why Rodreguiz wanted him to play Marv.
