<div class="IPBDescription">New movie</div> Wow, just say to trailer for <a href='http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0401792/' target='_blank'>Sin City</a> on TV, and wow it looks amazing. The color effects, the guest directing by Quentin Tarantino, and literaly 20 mainstream actors all point to a great movie.

You can watch the trailer <a href='http://www.apple.com/trailers/miramax/sin_city/' target='_blank'>here</a>, but I'm still trying to find a better quality version (something similar to the EP3 trailer maybe)?

Also, if you didnt catch it, you can see the TV trailer <a href='http://movies.channel.aol.com/franchise/exclusives/sin_city_movie' target='_blank'>here</a>, but there has got to be a better copy of it somewhere.

My gut tells me that any movie with that many mainstream actors is bound to be the new battlefield earth. Lets hope for the sake of all mankind that I'm wrong.

    You are wrong: here's why.

Sin City is a direct adaptation of Frank Millers comics of the same name. Sin City is, in a few words, like Max Payne translated to comics (Gritty, Noir, Crime rules all, the hero <i>always</i> loses). When I say direct, I don't mean "We kept the names" direct, I mean "the comics were the storyboard for the film" direct. In other words, if it was in the comics, it <i>will</i> be in the films. And if it wasn't in the comics, it won't be in the films. Every shot you see, every camera angle is a direct translation from the comics, not a detail changed.

If you haven't read the original comics, go do so now. The second editions (<i>I</i> have all the first editions) have just hit stores, and are very reasonably priced. You really have no excuse to do otherwise.

Sin City. Will Wright should make that game. Can you imagine it? "I'll place a brothel here, a casino, another brothel, a drug smuggling cartel... ooh, how about an illegal underground boxing league?" It'd be a hit.

I've been drooling over this movie ever since I saw the first trailer for it. I really can't wait... if this does well then maybe someone will do a proper job of a Max Payne movie.

However, now the cynic in me points out that they said the same would be done with the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and that was <i>rubbish</i> by comparison to the comic.

    Mickey Rourke as Marv?

Whilst Mickey Rourke is undoubtedly a mumbling retard, choosing him to play Marv sucks big, floppy, donkey equipment.
