I saw this on slashdot, and figured it may behoove a few of you to read <a href='http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/chronicle/archive/2005/03/18/BUGURBP6N353.DTL&type=tech' target='_blank'>this</a> article. If you still think the free ipod deal isn't a scam, well, then I guess there's really nothing that I can say.

Oh, and edit: This article is actually about one of the seedier online marketing scams which are just flat-out scams for everyone involved. Not a pyramid scheme. That's what got the ball rolling, though.

It's legal as long as they send you the merchandise, or their "equivalent", heh. Judging from all the complaints, though, they screw a lot of people. No surprise there.
