Why do I stay at this terrible forum?

I don't see a problem, really. You whine, you put your emotions out for people? You deserve everything you get and more.

    Or a blog.

The thing that bothers me is something that I was discussing with Quaunaut yesterday. The NS OT forum used to be a lot more like a community. People would occasionally make posts asking for advice or talking about something bad happening in their life and, while there would be the occasional joke tossed in, everyone would try to help the person or console them. Now threads are mostly jokes, sarcasm and people saying "get over it".

My advice to anyone who gets annoyed by "help me" threads: Shut up. Nobody cares. This person is asking for advice, not jokes. If you're not going to help, do everyone a favour and click the little X in the top-right corner of your screen.

"Get over it" is quite a bit of help, actually. A lot of things can be solved by simply stopping the problem. Believe me, I've done it myself. Just. Stop.

Surpressing things like these (the things that people have been posting over) aren't as easy as to say, how some peoples religion forces them to supress some of the finer things in life for a mystical greater good that nobody can even comment on.

I agree with you, but instead of simply saying "get over it", why not give advice for helping to get over it? The whole point is getting over it, what they want is help and advice for getting over it.

Was that a jab at me? I wasn't speaking of simple things as "Don't eat chocolate on Monday" (an example, I don't actually think this).

Heh. In Kentucky, it's illegal to have icecream in your back pocket on a Sunday.
