<div class="IPBDescription">Tool able to detect hacks</div> Hi, I was wondering if there are any tools that can be used in Natural Selection to detect hacks. I mean that if there are any tools I can use to detect someone hacking on a server during a game or after a game. I already have DemoFreak but I wonder if there are any more.

    There are server side plugins that "detect" hacks, but nothing is infalibale, many of them give false positives, and they are quickly outdated.

    there is nothing client side.

    the way to detect hacks is to download them your self, and screw around on a lan with some friends.

    Learn what they look like and then make demos (from spec) and send them to the server admins.

    Cheating Death is a client and server-side program. You can set it to kick people without the client running, or change their name.

    Thansal's advice is pretty poor. If you're not particularly computer savvy, I really don't recommend putting ANY hacks on your computer, ever.

    The reason being that many anti-hack tools will mistakenly identifty remnants of hacks as fully installed, functioning cheats. You may find yourself banned even if you aren't hacking.

    If you're merely a client, you don't have many reasons to really be sure that someone is hacking. If you have suspicions, contact an admin of the server. If you think someone is hacking and it's ruining your game, then just go to another server. =P
