Eh...if your talking about WON, then yes, but its extremely buggy.
Just use steam.

being new isn't a crime, but copy right infrigment is.
and you dont have to pay 40 dollors for somethin you want, and get a bunch of other stuff you dont want.
You can pay $20 for what you want, and get just that. And you wont be STEALING then too...

If you dont have a credit card, then go open a checking account, and get an ATM visa or mastercard.
i have my OWN CD-key i did not steal it!
No, but your typing/spelling should be.
B) As an actual answer, I doubt you'll see official support from the NS team. First, steam IS the future, like it or not. The user base for this won2 is small, for steam it is high. They don't have time to fix everything in their game, let alone add support for something like this.
C) You're best bet for help is to actually go to the won2 people. Look for a forum or email address on their website and see if they can give you a hand. If they can't, then I'm willing to bet dollars to donuts that you are S.O.L.
D) Seriously, original halflife I've seen in the bargain bin for $10-$15. It is a sound investment, no matter your income, I can assure you. I'm not questioning the legitamacy of your CD key, but I bet a new one will work with steam.
I hope this helps.
I'm wondering that too....
oh and when i try to use my CD-Key it always says "CD-Key already inuse" or something like that.... i guessing my CD-Key got stolen!
now i have searched for won2, and as far as i can tell it does not exist. and your speaking of protocal 46, thats the old won network protocal. steams network protocal number is 47.
ns 3.0 beta 5 works on the old won system perfectly. the only bug is the new say and teamsay bars that strech across the screen appear as barcode when your typing a message, but it appears normal when you send the message.
you can play on the old wonnet system, but it is a bit more difficult than playing on steam because you cannot search for servers. (there are no master servers) you have to manually add every server you want to play on.
i have heard of a small group of people that maintain a list of won servers that are still online, that will probably be your best bet if you are an aavid steam hater. i myself hate creating maps on steam because i get nothing but problems with the directory structure. i keep a copy of won installed on my computer for legacy purposes.
what about the rest of the graphical errors?
if you are happy living with em, then yah, play on WON2 (btw, WON2 does exist, just google it, first hit).
instead I suggest going and contacting the people at steampowered.com to find out how to get a new CDKey (it generaly requires mailng back your first one <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->))
won2 is basically won, they just have a different protocal and the master servers are different. although you can bypass the 1.1.1.1 update, and just edit your woncom.lst and add the servers in yourself, so you dont have to get the update.
but i still stick with the ns team is most likely not going to extend support to the new won system, because according to the stats, right now there are around 200 servers on the entire won network, and about 10,000 players at any given time. and 90% of the servers are counter-strike, with the remaining 10% being dod, tfc, hldm, ect.
i consider the new won system a novelty item, its a rememberance of the titan hl in its good days, but since there is such a small server / player base, its really not worth using unless your an aavid counter-strike guy.

When I try to register my CD-Key Steam says the Key is already in use; what do I do?
Answer
First please be sure that you don't already have your cd key registered to another account. If you are not sure that you have previously registered your cd key start Steam and click the Retrieve Account Info button, then select I do not know my account name and follow the prompts. If you do have an account your password will be emailed to your contact email address on the account. If you do not receive an email within a few hours make sure to check your Junk Mail folder. The password notification may be there.
If you do not recieve an email from Steam verify that you are entering in the CDKey exactly as it is printed on your package.
If the problem still persists you will need to obtain a new key by way of disk replacement from Sierra/VU Games.
For customers in North America:
Replacement is FREE for the first 90 days of product ownership. After 90 days there is a $10.00 handling fee per program for replacement. You must send in your CD at the time of order. For the fastest service, mail the CD along with either a copy of your sales receipt dated within 90 days OR the $10.00 handling fee and a note stating the reason you seek replacement. In that note, VU Games also requests that you include your name, address, and daytime telephone number so that VU Games' Customer Service Representatives may contact you should the need arise. They will then send you the new CD with a new key.
Important: For retail Half-Life 2 owners there is no charge for this service, but you are required to send in your CD/DVD.
The address is:
Vivendi Universal Interactive
Attn: Replacements
4247 S. Minnewawa Avenue
Fresno, CA 93725
USA
The disk replacement process will take approximately 3-4 weeks for delivery.
For customers outside of North America:
Please refer to the documentation that is included with your VU Games/Valve product for specific regional contact information regarding disk replacement.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Lol. Random troll?
It's, in a way, good to know that you went through the trouble of creating an account, feeling, I'm assuming, that these forums were important enough to post your opinion...
Though it probably will be your first and last post here...
