My sound ist too fast. Don't know why
Hi there!
My prob may sound pretty simple, but in fact that I don't know anything about soundcards and troublefixing, I'm at limit of my knowlege.
I've got a "Typhoon Acoustic 6" 5.1
never had any problems with it. But in NS my sound is too fast. Its two or three times faster than it should be and also the pitch is too high. Till now i tried to fix it directly from the NS-Audio-Menu. No effect... Its quite awful if the skulk sounds like Micky Mouse on speed... so, if anyone got an idea, please let me know.

This is the first time I have ever heard of a problem like this. Check if the sound files are playing normally when you open them outside of NS... And then I guess let's try to work from there?

Hmm, if the peoblem was global, then I'd say EAX compatibility might be chipmunk-ing the voices, but as it's localised to NS, then it's something else.

Update your audio drivers, and system in general.

Uh... disable any special effects prior to launching NS (some cards offer weird reverb effects, etc). Investigate other customization and try disabling that.

In other words, see if you can "dumb down" your card, and try NS.

even then, it could be some screwy thing with eax/aed (remember, NS just dosn't play well with em)

    try disabling/enabling them

Hmm, this one might be a bit of a problem. Anubis don't have drivers for the Typhoon Acoustic Six sound card on any website that I have checked, which covers just about all the secure, and certified. I suggest you get in contact with Anubis, and see if they have any links to a download area. Failing that, reinstall the card, and update the drivers for your motherboard chipset.

Thansal, my NS seems to work fine with EAX enabled.

    yah, thus the disabling/enabling bit.

SOmesystems will only work if EAX is En/disabled and/or AED is en/Disabled.

and I am leaving that last line "as is" as a testament to what my job does to my brain (makes poached eggs of it)
