Filtering Ns Servers

This isn't necessarily a problem specifically with NS, but it happens every once in a while, seemingly at random. The problem is that sometimes when I go to update my server list it will look through all the servers (CS, HL, etc.) in addition to NS. It still filters out the NS ones when it finishes (which I never let it, because it would take forever) or when I hit cancel.

Again, this happens seemingly randomly; sometimes I close the program, start it up, and try again and it will work (ie. just go through the NS servers). Anyone know what causes this?

I'm not sure what it is that causes this, but my friend and I have both been encountering this problem and it has only happened with NS. It's really annoying, but usually a couple of application restarts or even computer restarts solves it if I don't already have some servers in favorites available.

Make sure that the Start In folder in the shortcut properties is defined.

Right-Click the Icon, select properties, follow these instructions:

Ohh... I think that's my problem right there. When I installed the game I told it not to make a short cut (I like to keep my desktop tidy <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->).

I'm assuming that's what it is. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Otherwise, I'll just create the shortcut, and double-check the properties. Thanks for the info.
