<div class="IPBDescription">...brand spanking new tool</div> <a href='http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=321CD7A2-6A57-4C57-A8BD-DBF62EDA9671&displaylang=en' target='_blank'>http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...&displaylang=en</a>

Just downloading it now, the guys at Snarkpit recommended it to me. Apparently cleans up things adware misses, so worth a look in I'd say.

    Alright then, I also admit defeat in the random quoting catagory.

    But I swear to god, when the swimsuit competition comes around, I shall be victorious.

    Knowing Windoze products, it's full of loopholes and bugs that will require countless patches.
    And that's at the production stage. <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Actually, MS bought out another company who had already developed the software

    Also, the fact is all programs have loopholes, the reason why loopholes in microsoft programs get exploited so much is the simple fact that they are so mainstream. Why bother finding a loophole in a program that only 1 in every 5000 computers will have on it when you can find a bug in a microsoft product that every idiot AOLer had pre-installed on their Dell/gateway/other-generic-comes-in-a-box-computer-retailer type computer

    go read the thread that ANeM and I linked to.

    Remember that MonsE is one of the most straight shooting people around (he will tell you when an MS Problem comes up, and he will generaly have the soloution to it <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->)

    This seems to be far better than the free version of AdAware. I run scans often with AdAware, to keep up with my mothers rampant consumption of Spyware, but this Microsoft one still turned up many entries I couldn't remove or find in AdAware. Nice.

    Oh offering up my body instead eh? I'm not sure the judges would be any better after seeing me in a swimsuit <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Side note: Does this catch what spybot doesn't? That is the only reason I haven't downloaded it, spybot and ad-aware seem to catch everything that the other doesn't.

    *edit* I just had to post my leet speed when d/ling it.

    Hmm, curious. It seemed to think that using IE is better than using Fx, or ThunderBird or emails, instead of OE. It would appear that the MS Anti-Spyware is trying to reset the XP defaults. Anyone else get this?

    On another note. I just read all of the linked post, started by Monse. I thought that MS had been nailed for bundling Windows Media Player into their OS delivery, and not suppling any other media software. Something along the terms for a virtual, and psychological monopoly. Sureley bundling MS Anti-Spyware, and their future Anti-Virus product would be that same thing that they have been slapped for before. Sureley that would place the initial thought into peoples' minds that "Oh, I've already got AV and AS programs here, I don;t need any others". Much in that same way that most of the PC's that I work on only have WMP present, maybe this will change to WMP, MS AS, and MS AV when Longhorn becomes the standard OS.

    Or maybe I'm just being pedantic...

    Cyndane, just because you connect to an MS site at just shy of 1100k, doesn't make it leet. Try remaining connected to Steam for 3 hours at 2000k. Continuously. Then getting back from having the bike serviced (2 hours). And *STILL* finding Steam connecting at 2000kb/s. Damn my choosing to update everything at once! Steam's Delivery Servers would be packing a "Bandwidth +10000000" if this was D&D...

    I have windows XP. I was surprised that I didn't have genuine windows...
    ...until I remembered how my brother got it.
