Can't Get Tutorial To Work

My installation went fine, I can log onto and play internet games (although quickstart seems fux0red), but I can't play the tutorial. If I start it up with the desktop icon, it'll let me click the 'hazard zone' or whatever button for the tutorial, but then gives an error (and it gives errors for every game). If I use the start menu icon to start, then at least I can play online games (saw that others had desktop icon problems so I started using the menu), however, when I go into NS, some of the buttons in the first menu are disabled (new game, load, and hazard zone/training). Is the training not yet available, or is my version busted? I'm using CS retail, latest version, just installed NS and haven't checked for patches to it, using Windows NT 4.0, 650 Mhz, 128 MB ram. Lemme know if you need more info.

The Desktop-Icon is broken, it shouldn't show up the "New Game" and "Hazard Course" buttons... Just delete it and use the Start-Menu icon...
