Software Mode Not Supported By Natural Selection

    Options->Video.

    Make sure that you've got "OpenGL" in the "Video Mode" dropdown. Chances are, you got "Software Mode" selected.

    Pick OpenGL, then hit OK.

    NS will automatically restart, then try connecting.

    As your post title says, NS doesn't support the Software Rendering mode...

    Oh yeah, let's add...

    If by some form of black magic you have a video card that doesn't properly support 3D modes such as OpenGL or Direct3D, you can't play NS. You have to have a 3D card.

    But, seeing as any even remotely modern PC usually has some form of 3D capability, you probably don't have to worry about this.
