So let me see. You need to restart ns so that these will work. But that means you will need to leave the server and take another screenshot. CD blocks this command up to a minimum of 8...

Well, I was playing on a pub server with gl_max_size 8. And, about 6 people went cloack, and i spotted them so easily. This should be fixed, if its possible.

However, if netgraph(I don't know if it is) was enforced on the screenshots this would not work.

I don't think it would work. You have to show the scoreboard in your screenshots <a href='http://forums.caleague.com/index.php?showtopic=23672' target='_blank'>,</a> and the scoreboard looks messed up in demos.

gl_max_size 1 blocks all my hud. i tried to tweak it but i couldnt, the higher i went the more detailed teh textures became but my hud was still out and i was missing my crosshair.
god forbid that the ns team remove the "stopsound" command. you ever been on a map where someone screws a door up and the sound loops over and over again, and you can make more instances of the same sound which eventually either make hl crash or make the sound so loud, the map is unbearable to play in that area.

Stopsound <b>is</b> useful. It's just that at this point it can also be used to remove certain ambient sounds to make hearing easier.
This is also a problem with Hostile Intent. Every map has a basic ambient sound that is supposed to cover a persons footsteps when walking. By using Stopsound you can then hear a person moving, as slow as possible, like they are running.
In essence it's up to a mapper. Stop using .wav files for ambience!

honestly it's a bigger problem than you would think. i mean it's not like we all stare at the screen without blinking or hold down the scoreboard for 10-15 minutes before a match starts. usually in matches the players just get their ss's as soon as there are 6 on each team and then just wait for both ready's. it is quite possible for someone to quickly retry without the other team noticing and even if they did notice i don't specifically recall an instance where WE (as a team) forced someone to retake screenshots. on top of that, it would probably be difficult to tell if the reconnecting player actually took a new screenshot or not given nothing else had changed on the scoreboard after the retry.

There's ns team "blocked" and there's actually blocked as in people actually can't use it anymore if they care to try. This goes for far more commands than just r_drawviewmodel.

yeah its blocked the same way lightgamma is or ex_interp used to be.
stopsound is a helpful command, not an exploit.

This is also a problem with Hostile Intent. Every map has a basic ambient sound that is supposed to cover a persons footsteps when walking. By using Stopsound you can then hear a person moving, as slow as possible, like they are running.
In essence it's up to a mapper. Stop using .wav files for ambience!

well i didnt care because i can see skulks fine but once i read that it shows cloaking easy i wanted to give it a try.
