And that's exactly how aliens play: scout constantly so they don't get a phase under their hive.

SmoodCroozN: if you suck as a fade, you fade anyway and try to learn. You don't go OC spam all your life and never get past the n00b stage.
The statement "I don't have any skill so I'll drop OCs" is sad. <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Nobody said hives will be 100% safe even with OC walls. You have to estimate, even if you are at THE major chokepoint to the hive.

Even with four OCs, battle gorges are still a force to be reckoned with. Though gorges work best with celerity, a skilled gorge player can be just as effective as a fade player.

While a fade can hold one area effectively, it is limited to one area. A group of OCs can also hold that area, BUT the gorge can be doing something else, such as bilebombing, healing the wounded, or skulk and chomp RTs. The OC's true strength lies in a time advantage.

You might as well replace this: Ocs: Annoyance Value > Res Value with Ocs: Time Value > Res Value

4 OCs will not hold an area without the gorge there actively supporting it. Yes it will definitely buy you time, but then, so can a Fade/Lerk.
