<div class="IPBDescription">Lazy day, PS2's not PC's :(</div> Okay so I'm having a lazy day today, although in a couple of hours a group of us are going to be gaming and pigging out. Only problem is that we have to use friggin' PS2's <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> We can't be arsed to set up and dismantle a network for just one day, so any suggestions on some games to rent? We're not the biggest PS2 gamers but we have some games such as the MOH series. We also got quite alot of DVD movies <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

group of people games, pretty much any fighting game is fun. Tekken 5, Soul Caliber 2, Def Jam Fight for New York, can go old school with street fighter collection. racing games you have like GT4, and a few others. Smackdown vs RAW wrestling game is fun with a bunch of friends even if you don't like wrestling.

I also find games like resident evil or final fantasy, while single player, make fabby watching for a whole group due to their great lil story lines and atmosphere :D

If you really want a good giggle see if you can grab one of the parapa the rappa games . Shame you don't have a gamecube or you could add bomberman generations, smash bros melee and marioparty into the mix too :o

Testament

Anything Guilty Gear, God of War (nota group game, but by god, it deserves to be in any PS2 list), Soul Calibur 2, Burnout 3. Some racing games can be great group games...just not the slow realistic ones.

Put the pap down, and step away from the suggestions!

Things like Burnout 3 give a great multiplayer experience. Seeing as you're not huge PS2 gamers, then try things like the good old fashioned scrap-em-ups, like Tekken 4, and Soul Calibur 2.

As it'll only be for a day, you don't want too many games. Always look at your existing collection first, you might have some classic multiplayer action buried in it somewhere.

Pro Evolution Soccer 4 is good. But if you don't really know PS2 games then go for a Tekken button mashing fest.

It's single player, and certainly not everyone's cup of tea, but if it suits you then you will find no joy greater than Metal Gear Solid 3 (except perhaps Metal Gear Solid 1)
