well. it's more of a personal stupidity. I have 3.0 installed, but am trying to get 3.0.2 installed. I save the .zip file to disk, but after that I dont know what to do next. I try looking in the game but it still is not installed. I might just have to install it to a different place or manipulate one of the files, but I personaly dont know. Any help would be appreciated.

Unless you're running a server, you don't need it.

well when I try to join a server, it says that the map differs from the server or something. what should I do for that?

Well, it means that your copy of the map is different than the server's copy of the map. You've probably got a corrupted version of the map and you should try to find a fresh version to download. If it happens with several different maps, then you should try reinstalling NS from scratch.

well i've reinstalled ns, and it still is giving me the same problem. It is saying your "the map" differs from the server.
I'm compleatly stumped now so i'm writing again.

thanks for your help guys. I hadnt fully deleted my ns files so I was still running them out of that.
The problem was that I had all the old maps, the ones before they were recently updated. I had no clue about the updating of the maps. I'm computerly impared. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
