I searched found NOTHING, so I create this thread <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
I don't know if it's everybody else, but for some reason, if I walk into a ladder, look up....I hear the ladder noise, but I'm not going up. The only way to climb a ladder is to bypass the bottom part of it by jumping. And if I go to the top of a ladder, I have to crouch/jump on em all to get off of it. Maybe...that's how it is supposed to be?

Jumping into it works, so why not just use that? You gain nothing from walking into it and looking up.
Things to consider:<ul><li>Are you using a script where +movedown or +crouch is toggled?</li><li>Does this happen in NS only, or other HL1 games?</li><li>Does this only happen on one server, or many?</li></ul>Note that looking left/right and then strafing into a ladder will greatly increase your ascension speed. Do that instead. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
maybe set fps_max 72

Yeah, FPS is strongly connected to HL physics. FPS of 25 will make you fire faster, use JP fuel slower, and ascend ladders faster.
Hmm. I remember someone (a civilian?) testing the ROF thing; it makes you APPEAR to fire faster, but server calculates the damage, so there's no advantage. Or something. :s
Soylent Green is the best person to ask. The guy's a walking HL physics textbook.
