Failing that, reinstall steam.

Make sure you keep a copy of your "SteamApps" safely stored in another folder on your computer before you do and then copy it back afterwards, it will save you over 8 GB of downloading.

This doesn't appear to be a bug. Moving to tech support.

I read something about the ATI, and I don't like it. Why do only ATI Radeons crash?

(As to mention, I only got a 9550)

Do you have the latest catalyst drivers? Try those. If so, try a downgrade.

I'm sorry, I'm only a specs guy and only know how to work a computer. I can't stand constant computer jabber sometimes. Can you lay it out for me in plain old english?

Catalyst: ATi's name for their Unified Driver Architecture (Anyone being picky will tell me that the CCC version only covers the 7500 upwards, UDA's only cover current chipsets...). Comes in 2 different flavours. CCC, and Non-CCC.
CCC: Short for "Catalyst Control Center", and comes with a funky settings program, but relys on Microsoft's .NET techonolgy, and therefore doesn't work properly with Linux.
Non-CCC: Traditional controls, located within Display Properties->Settings->Advanced. Perfect for people with older versions of Windows, or people using Linux.

Both versions can be downloaded from Guru3D.com (link leads directly to ATi Downloads). Make sure you get the right drivers for your version of Windows, as they are starting to put up Media Centre Edition, and XP64 versions, as well as 98/ME, and 2000/XP ones.

Hope that little bit helps.
