Gees people. Fine N44b can do most of the jumps in this vid, so what, get a life. This ins't a frigging competition here (except when you Tsao bastages steal all my jumps ). If you feel you should be the only one to use up all the NS jumps before anyone else can get to them, so be it, I invite you to beat us all to the punch.

That being said, other people are going to release jumps videos, and they won't all be the same quality as NSJ, most of us don't have nearly that kind of video editing skill.

Stop criticizing the less spectacular jumps in this video. Sure it is a little unpolished, but that is thier problem not yours. Hell, some of the jumps in NSJ and NSJ2 weren't very impressive either. We still all "WTH"ed at the really big and cool ones, and TSAO jump does have a good few of those.

And people wonder why I gave up on the European scene.

    *slaps coris & moomin*

You, my son, know better. [/east end gangster] For pitys sake. TSAO have dedicated time from their lives to make something that might 'be just cool' to do, and you have to belittle them for it? Because they weren't as 'pro' as you?

I really never thought I'd be telling the NS community to grow up, but it would appear so. Don't get me wrong, the language earlier was unforgivable, but was commented on, pointed out & forgotten.

TSAO - I hope you learnt from the experience, and you can come up with new & original stuff given time, presuming this mob don't manage to put you off.

A lot of the jumps were pretty plain and standard, and most of them weren't jumped to 100% of their capabilities.

yea some of them were mix ups, they were all done perfectly except some of the demos got really damn long, so it makes it kinda hard, and plus im lazy.

just saw it now, there's alot of plain jumps that anyone can do, which also makes it abit long to watch, but there's also good ones but a few. I liked the fonts you used at the start and end of movie. if you're going for a second movie, you should try to add more advanced jumps like the one waste slope in central for example, than to have lots of jumps just to make it longer. i dont really like jump movies like i said, but you did alright, if you're making a second one take all critzism into consideration.. but then again that depends on what kind of movie you are going for. anyway, gg hf

How did you rip demos to video? Using fraps when I was recording my own crap I just got like 40 min demos and recorded out of them the 20 some odd seconds each reasonably impressive jump took up.

No reason to be forced to start your demo and vid rip at the same time, fraps has hotkey functions.

[edit] bobbiwan: anyone can do almost any trick jump with enough practice and enough trys. Skill is only half the battle, the other half is a keen eye for good jump locations, and a whole lot of coolness.

don't use fraps for movie making, just go: startmovie "name" "25" in console and you get .BMP's in your ns folder, put those in virtualdub program to compile it into an uncompressed movie. put that in some edit program, add text music whatever you want and then render it. there's alot more to it for better quality and stuff but cba

Ew. I don't want 500 BMPs on my harddrive, let alone in my NS folder, where I keep all my dems and SS.

Make a backup ns folder or something. startmovie is the only way if you want to have a video that LOOKS GOOD.

Agree'd. I'm on 56k and I would love to watch a jump video one day.

Get with the times I heard someone say? Get broadband in my area of the UK then.

here's a tip: delete the bmp's after you compiled it.
