perhaps it'll suck less?
Today Episode III got an official PG-13 rating, meaning its gotta be more voilent than the previous 2 Star Wars movies. Hopefully that'll contribute to it sucking less, but I doubt it.
This doesn't mean it'll be more violent than any Star Wars movie though. Remember the severed arm w/ a pool of blood on the floor and the charing bodies of Owen & Beru? I doubt we're going to see anything like that.
They didn't even have PG-13 back then, so it was either PG or R, and Star Wars got PG.

Maybe its a marketing plan to lure in all those crazy thrill seeking teens, wholl see the PG-13 rating and have to see it.
In the graphic comic you see young Jedi kids (like, 8 - 10 years old) being killed by Anakin and the Clone Troopers.
Yeah I don't want to expose young children to our president either.
ZING!
BTW, old spoiler, its in the "script" thats been floating around the net since forever.
AWESOME! That totally makes me want to see it.

I thought the charred bodies weren't in the original theatrical cut, but were inserted in the Special Edition rerelease. I can't really remember though.
Oh, and DOOM is being sneakier with the slashdot reposts. He didn't even link to /. this time.
Because they didn't have Harrison Ford.
Actually... Episode1 was.. too slow. People hate politics. People must really hate going to movies and being faced with scifi politics. Plus JarJar. And annoying-little-kid actors. There is only one movie that I like that has a little kid in it, and that's Leon (The Professional. Terminator2 was pretty good, too)
Episode2 was alright... but... Hayden Christensen is just... i can't stand his acting.
Kid actors are definatly annoying, the kid who did Anakin was ok though IMO. Jar-Jar, yeah he would only appeal to a VERY select audience. I don't like him but I don't hate him either. As for sci-fi politics, I personally consider it neccisary to add the background and story, and find a movie with pure action boring.
I guess that's why I didn't think it sucked then.
Heh. Back when ROTJ came out Carrie Fisher posed for Playboy topless in the Jabba the Hutt slave outfit. Perhaps Natalie Portman will do the same. ;D

3 Reasons why Episode 1 and 2 suck:
A New Hope
The Empire Strikes Back

Minus Ewoks.
Ewoks were the beginning of the end.
you question my sanity? I question your passion.
My loins burn with passion for Padme. Bursting with passiony goodness. Like passionfruit.
In related news, why does the Ep 3 trailer draw me in so?

I doesn't have an air of suck about it like Episode 1 and 2 did.
The Episode I trailer looked terrific.
The Episode II trailer looked terrific and like it made up for Episode I.
See a pattern here? I sure do.

"Don't cry for me, I'm already dead."
...
"Say 'what' again!"
Episode 1 is cool only in the aspect that you see how über real jedi are supposed to be; it's kind all down hill once they stop melting through that door...
Episode 2 moves really, really slow until the end, where it's action packed Yoda goodness (except, coincidently, they managed to have two actors in a row who suck at playing Anakin). They need to fire their casting director [out of a cannon, into the sun].
Episode 3 seems like it could be good because it doesn't have a whiney Anakin, really; just a violent Anakin (the good kind - although the "I'm going to be evil because sand people killed my mom!" is retarded).
