How Can I Teach Myself Shorthand?

Are there any online resources that will teach me shorthand? I've always wanted to learn to do it, and I'm going to have some free time soon, so I figured I might as well try.

I tried Googling it a while back, but I couldn't find anything useful.

I use shorthand when I'm serving but I'm not aware of any specific shorthand "language." It's basically a bunch of abbreviations and indicators.
