Commander Mode Changes

<div class="IPBDescription">Subtle but needed.</div> 1) Minimap needs to have BLINKING dots that show where audible alerts come from, and if they do blink, then they don't blink for a lot of people, which is therefore a bug and needs to be fixed.

2) Players need to SCREAM when they die, I suggest that only the commander hears these screams because as a player the screams would take from the overall creepiness of the game, but sometimes I'm dropping health to a dead guy and I don't notice it for a few packs...

3) See aliens that your troops see or that your buildings "see", I understand this fog of war thing but if some Kharaa comes and starts raping a resource tower I'd like to know if it's a skulk or a fade, same thing when they're attacking players. This afternoon at a friends house I was watching him and his friend play on a network in an internet game, and he was the commander, his friend was being attacked by an Onos, and was spamming grenades, all the commander saw was grenade spam in an outpost and hit his friend for being dumb, then he noticed the onos filling his friends screen. Bottom line, there needs to be 'true' fog of war, not "all aliens are invisible to the commander."

This has probably cropped up many times already, but I only had my first go as commander today and it IS hard to see exactly WHO is requesting a B.F.G. at any given time...maybe either big blinking lights or waypoint style arrows on the comms screen?

All seems a little...subtle? at the moment imo..

    ie:

    -----> he needs ammo!!

Other than that, love the new patch. Nice Work.

I would personnaly greet some way to deselect troops. Happens tyo me some times that I leave some people accidentally selected and then give them orders on far side of map as I try to build there. There is no way to deselect them except for selecting something else..

    read the manual

all a player has to do is request an order/health/ammo from the right click menu and the commander can just press the jump button to zap straight to them.

True, but I've seen a lot of very specific requests beyond the simple "Ammo!" or "Health!"..

"Oi! Comms, do us a seige on that lift platform plz! and a HMG when we can afford it. Ta!"

I want some way to know exactly where stuff is needed..I did read the manual btw, if it's covered in there then I missed it.

I think voice comms would be the best solution, but mics aren't always clear, and voice comms sort of assumes you speak the same language..

Very obvious visual clues would be helpful.

I don't want to have to always go to the guy, I just want blinking dots, it isn't so hard, if I see a bunch of blinking dots in 1 spot in the middle of the map, I'll ignore the 1 blinking dot in base, get my drift? It shows where your attention should be.

another thing, it seems to me that building blue rectangles cover up the green marine rectangles,

    they are too big,

and it seems that the blue rectangels from buildings remain after the building is destroyed, so i was commander and thought we WEREN't gettin our **obscenity** kicked, but in that game, the marines were morons - didnt go where they needed to and wasted a lot of special gear (jetpacks, HMG's, grenade launchers... etc) but then i got in a in-state (alaska) game
and played with some really good marines (B\ank as commander did a very good job) and we just OWNED the aliens, once i got Heavy armor, an HMG, a welder and a backup marine identically armed, i never died and we just rolled over all of there hives - It was great
but our commander did have a hard time finding which marine needed what, where

the map does need a re-vamp
