Installer refuses to load
I've been having this problem sporadically and only with certain games, but sometimes installers for games made for Windows 95 or 98 refuse to load on XP (I use XP Home, it wasn't my choice ). Does anyone know of a cause for this problem or a solution to it?

The main game in question is Worms Armageddon, I just bought the Worms triple pack for nostalgic fun and now I can't install it. I double-click the exe and nothing happens, the process is there but doing nothing. I couldn't find anything to help me on the Team 17 website.

try adding NOSYSCHECK to the command line arguments

edit: or telling XP to run the installer in 95 compatability mode.

Yeah, I tried compatibility mode... no dice on that. Can I add something to the command line if it's on a CD?

    I think use run: PathName/setup.exe /NOSYSCHECK
Or have a shortcut and add -NOSYSCHECK to the target.

Well, I couldn't find out anything that would work, so I installed it on my Windows 98 computer without a hitch and transferred the files over the network. Works all right now that I can actually patch it to work with XP.
