Creating A Custom Co Map.

Is there any way to start a player in a CO map with extra levels right when they start off? I can't seem to figure out a way to do it, maybe it can't be done, but I figure this would be the best place to ask, as the creators of NS are here.

Any ideas?

    Awesome. Is there any way I can get this to work without the console? Like maybe a destructible box or simply an invisible barrier that can be passed?

    Basically, I want to make a CO map where everybody starts off with Level 10 exp, to make the game extremely hard hitting and fast paced.

    if you do that, EVERYONE on aliens will go onos with full defense upgrades in 10 sec (maybe one webgorge to slow marines down) and marines will never win because the chair will die in under a minute (allowing time to go across the level, and time to evolve upgrades)

    unless the level is so small that marines get their ups and get to the hive before the aliens finish egging...then you have a squad of level 10 marines spawncamping

    might be nice to have a setup where the game starts with 1-2 levels though

    I understand the drawbacks to the all-out onos attacks, but this map is different from a standard co map. It's more of a training map, so the extra levels are to upgrade different abilities and weapons to learn how to use them more effectively.

    Can't be done on the mapping side. It's probably possible with server-side plugins.

    Well.. you can set your listenserver.cfg to include sv_cheats 1, so you don't have to type it in the console. Then you bind a key to "givexp 1000" and you're set.

    edit: didn't read the last line.. but yeah, uhh, this only works for yourself :\
