The Jedi Are Going To Die

so lets all be happy!
Or at least that's what these TV spots would have you feel about it...

Very different feeling in these trailers, and after watching them, your hopes for the movie might fall a little, or a lot.

Might take a while to load the movies, they seem to be getting hit pretty hard.

Yeah, I saw this on slashdot... I don't know. These rate a "meh" on my scale of awesome. The full-length trailer really is much much more impressive.

I'm only gonna watch for Grievous, and to see Anakin hurled into a volcano like he deserves.

Grievous is hot because he's massacre defined.

One and two are pretty cool but tbh I thought number three was just wrong. Stupid narrator ruined it for me. Not sure why but it just felt wrong.

I thought all 3 felt wrong...

The narrator seems all too happy to be talking about the time when the jedi order is destroyed.

    Call them "kid safe"

    Third one = Crushed heart.

I never thought it could be done but what if...What if Lucas actually finds a way to end this movie on a retarded light note?

Naysayers flock together for no-existant reasons as per usual.

These are the TV adverts. Its harder to tailor them to specific audiences then a movie, and therefore they have to have a light tone.

    Calm down people.

George Lucas is the one who should be hurled into a volcano.

It's still not as bad as the advertisements for the Episode 2 DVDs.

It's a result of Slashdot viewers and every star wars fan boi in the world trying to get to the trailers.

    Yesh... that's bob...

And bob is very angry now...

The TV adverts show the MOST EXCITING and hair raising part of the movies to hook the audeince. These were nothing more than .5/1 seconds cuts from the movies! And those cuts didn't casue me to be too thrilled about it. But, being a consumer prostitute, I will of course go see the movies out of hope/habit/sadistic fascinations.

These are indiscutably bad. I know the purpose of such fast-cut trailers, but don't try to explain to me that they need to be this bland. God, I've seen better cuts used by cereal companies to promote merch articles.

does it seem like they are trying to make starwars "cute" now instead of cool like the original 3 (i know ewoks and the droids are kinda cutsie, but not in a stupid way)

I...don't like it. Won't stop my parents from inevitably buying it though.

And I want Jar Jar to die too. Will he die?
  • GwahirGwahir Join Date: 2002-04-24 Member: 513Members, Constellation
I'm hoping Jar Jar will show up at the volcano expressing his sadness that Anakin has gone to the darkside only to be force pushed into the lava.

I always thought the Jedi brought it on themselves. You have this guy thats supposed to bring balance to the Force right. Also you have a LOT more good jedi than bad. Of course he will be evil.

Maybe they thought that there were a load of sith out there, or a few really, really powerful ones. A galaxy is a big place, after all.

Yeah... the narrator is the worst casting choice in the history of casting.
