<div class="IPBDescription">No idea what kinda PSU to get.</div> Ok, Basically I'm after a good, reliable PSU (power suppliy unit for the uninformed)
For my computer I am building. It will need to power the following:
5x 120MM fans
2X opticals
3x Hard drives
2x Graphics cards
1x Amd Athlon 64 3800 or higher
1x Watercooling pump
along with a few other things.

I haven't a clue what PSU's are good and which are bad, so, I turn to the "infinite" knowledgebase of the NS Forums for help <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

So please can I have some help with finding a good psu?

    I use Hiper powesupplies available from <a href='http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/Hiper.html' target='_blank'>http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/Hiper.html</a>

    Fairly quiet psu and comes with a switch on the back to change the fan mode. High|Med|Low|Auto.

    i use this one:<!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->Hiper Silent Dual Fan 425W ATX2.2 PSU (CA-000-HP)
    HPU-4S425 is our fourth generation PSU. It features: dual fan, 450mm cables, PFC, gold plated pins

    - Supports Intel ATX 2.2 standard
    - Complies with AMD 64 bits processors.
    - I/O short circuit & overload protection design
    - PFC, Power Factor Correction
    - Range of Input AC Voltage 230V (200V - 265V) <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

    That may not be enough for your rig but you can get a 525watt one for £50. If even that is enough there is a 650watt one around but they are rare.

    If possible, get one of these with the modular cable plugs, where you can select which cables to use. Less clutter, so cleaner inside, and also better airflow.

    The LC Power LC6480S looks nice, 480W, you choose the cables, stable voltage, active PFC, silent, and cheap. I don't know if it's available in the US though.

    Enermax Noisetaker 600W
    or
    OCZ Modstream 520W

    Under <b>no</b> circumstances get a Q-Tec, you <b>will</b> regret it.

    Antec, Enermax, Ultra, Thermaltake, and OCZ are what I recommend, but the first two mentioned are what I swear by.

    Whatever the size you decide on I suggest dual 12v rails.

    I second the recommendation of the Enermax Noisetaker.

    It sounds silly to go w/ a branded PSU but once I got one myself I instantly realized how pwn they can be. This thing is dead silent and my system just feels, I dunno, I can't explain it, but it feels better w/ it in there. But what's really pwn is it has lots of temp. stuff in it, like when you turn the PC off the power supply fan keeps spinning till the case reaches a certain temperature (usually takes a minute or two).

    But its so damn quiet. That was the selling point for me...

    Only one point i have to question on that list of parts, i see 1 watercooling pump as in a watercooling setup but you also want to add 5 fans, i have to question as to why? a water cooling system should be able to handle all the demands a system can throw at it, from GFX card cooling to CPU cooling.

    Please correct me if im wrong but the whole idea of water cooling is to do away with fans?

    Unless is something daft like mechanical fishys inside his case to make it look pretty <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Do one of those "How much Power?" caculators, thet will work good. If I had to choose a PSU I would go with a 500W for your setup, maybe something from Antec.

    Ah explains abit lol, could you simply not use a massive tank for the water, so it selfs cools doing away with the need for a radiator? either that or cheat and buy an old car radiator pick em up for a couple of quid at scrap dealer.
