It's in Spanish, but someone has translated it themselves and got some awesome new info concerning the new Zelda game:
<!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->Apparently, one of the editors of this magazine went to Japan and actually got to play the game. There were three different demos, which should be shown at this year's E3.
As you can see, the scans show both old and new screens. Most notable are the new screens showing Link outside of his usual green tunic. His appearance (face, body) in those screens seems to be a bit different as well. Why this is, we're not sure.
Thanks to Gessle of the Gaming Age forums and Xander of the IGN boards, who translated the scans, we can bring you some new details regarding the game.
-At the game's start, Link is 16 years old. As time goes on, Link will grow older in the game.
-The village shots you see where Link is dressed differently are from the game's first village, called Toaru Village. It's kind of like how Kokiri Forest was the initial starting village in Ocarina of Time.
-The pictures that we've seen of Link fighting enemies while on his horse have been shown for a reason - horse combat plays a big role in the new Zelda.
-The game's controls are similar to OoT and Wind Waker - Z-targeting is back, using the L trigger on the GameCube. Jumping will once again be automatic.
-The game is reportedly 2 to 3 times bigger/longer than Ocarina of Time! According to the magazine, up to 70 hours of gameplay is possible.
-According to Eiji Aonuma, "Making the water trasparent in this new Zelda as opossed to Wind Waker will allow us to give a realistic and more beautiful feel to the game and also open the game to a new subaquactic world."
-Aonuma also said that went for a more Shonen Manga style as opposed to a Square Enix CG-type look.
-And last but not least, cuccos are back. :-p
Details from the three demos the article's writer played:
Demo #1: Toaru Village will indeed be the first area in the game. You'll start off going through some tutorial-like activities, which will help players new to Zelda but should still be fun to Zelda veterans.
Demo #2: This takes place in a ranch. The writer was on a horse and had to guide all the cows into a stall within a certain time limit - supposedly lots of fun.
Demo #3: According to the article writer, this is the most impressive demo. While on horseback, Link had to fight an armored enemy who was on an armored boar, along with his minions, on a huge battlefield. He had a sword and a bow to do this with, though the bow now seems to have a limited range. This is when he asked Aonuma about the game's size, with Aonuma replying that the game would be 2 to 3 times bigger than Ocarina of Time and that they're trying to make it last up to 70 hours.
Also in this demo is a battle that takes place on a bridge in which Link has to take part in a sort of joust (with a sword, not a spear) while on his horse. <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

GIMMA ITAM OR PK!!!!ONEONEONEONELEVLLVLEN
i'll wait until i've read some reviews before i decide. the last zelda game i played was ocarina of time and i loved it. seems really stupid to have to pay so much money just for one game though <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> i will never buy or play anything else on the GC

Actually Metroid Prime was the last really good game to come out for the GC. SSBM being the first. Hurray for two good games.

Note that was my opinion, that it was terrible.
Mostly because the AI of the space pirates was so bad that I couldn't stand it. That, and while it tried exploration, it did it terribly, by never giving me a cool place to explore <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
And SSBM was too fast. N64 version ftw.
ahahaha YOU CAN'T TAKE IT!!
I kid of course. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
IMO, the Windwaker style was pretty cool, but this manga Link is just awesome. It's the grown-up Zelda game we've been waiting for since the GC came out. Took 'em long enough. >_>

THE TRUTH IS SPOKEN. These games suck. Hard.
Oh, and Resident Evil 4 DOES suck. Probably THE biggest game-related waste of money I've ever had to endure. Terrible graphics, story, gameplay, atmosphere, voice acting, music, interface, and control scheme.
Disclaimer: TommyVercetti did not take his Happy Pills today.

I'm not, and I find that pretty funny.

And Vice City had it any better?
The new Zelda sounds damn good, but I want Ganon.
*raises hand*
But from what i've seen so far, this has eveery possibility of being the best Zelda game ever. which would consequently make it the best game ever!
Also the old N64 smash bros was fun and stuff but I just can't go back to it after the fast paced coolness of melee... that and I can't play zelda/shiek in N64 so I'd have to go back to kirby :p
ahahaha YOU CAN'T TAKE IT!! <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Damn, now I want to play some of you guys in SSB:M. I'm always up for a good challenge.
**EDIT**
I don't see why everyone hates Windwaker though. I loved that game, I was addicted to it. I played it for like a week straight. I wish it was longer though.
I think gamecube is a great system for playing with 3 friends and occasional single player games. Nintendo does have a tendency to make wacky games, and that's fine by me since I'm usually a casual gamer.
My collection:
- Resident Evil 4
- LoZ: Ocarina of Time + Master Quest
- F-Zero GX
- Donkey Konga
- Soul Calibur II
- Time Splitters: Future Perfect
And I love every single one of them. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Ahh, but they're like $50 now, aren't they?
I'm awaiting this. Definitely. Hopefully the mounted combat will be that good.

More like $20 and some stores give you a 2 for $30. Good price for good games, means you can't lose.

The "remade" Wind Waker?
AKA the April Fools Joke:
<a href='http://news.memoriesofzelda.com/data/upimages/AprilFoolsScan.jpg' target='_blank'>http://news.memoriesofzelda.com/data/upima...ilFoolsScan.jpg</a>
I'm not alone in the world! I can die happily now!
By the way, Resident Evil 4, Metroid Prime (the original was slightly better in my opinion), Super Smash Brothers II, Timesplitters 3, and Soul Calibur II (go Link) are some of the best games I've ever played.
It's kind of sad that Timesplitters 3 never got much hype, because in my eyes it's better than Halo- there's more to the Timesplitters series than "pick up weapon, pick up second weapon, and utilize your perfect-to-the-point-of-lame cyborgness to shoot two submachine guns relatively accurately as you get shot by somebody with a sniper rifle from some ledge that should really be impossible to stand on." The vehicles aren't really the showcase of TS3- the monkeys are.
I know that I just invoked somebody's wrath somewhere in here, so...
*<b>Semi</b> proceeds to die happily, awaiting ressurection just to play the new Zelda game.*

Wish I could play Smash Bros. 2...
And I wholeheartedly agree with your opinion TSFP > Halo.
